Description
Hair loss is a widespread condition affecting 65% of all men by the age of 60.
There various factors affecting hair loss as well different types but typically male pattern baldness called androgenetic alopecia or genetic hair loss affects most men as early as 20’s.
If you are losing your hair and want to consider an alternative to a hair transplant, we offer the latest non-surgical hair loss treatment for men.
What is causing male pattern baldness?
This is genetic condition passed down from either family tree caused by a body hormone known as Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT attaches to the hair follicles and causes them to shrink over time thus leading to thinner hair day by day.
How to identify male pattern baldness?
It’s easy to identify even for somebody with no clinical experience as it only affects hair on the top of the scalp and not the sides or back of the hair.
Things to look out for :
- Receding hairline which affects the temple area
- Thinning at the top of head known as crown (vertex)
- General thinning spread over the top area of the head.
Different stages and forms of pattern male hair loss can be easily identified using The Norwood Scale. This scale demonstrates the progression of a receding hairline and thinning crown.
What are the treatments?
- MesoHair – This is a mesotherapy technique combining bio-stimulatory solution being infused into the scalp with small multiple injections and it is totally painless.
The MesoHair solution contains 51 active ingredients, including bio-mimetic peptides, vitamin complexes, mineral salts, coenzymes, hyaluronic acid, essential amino acids, growth factors, and antioxidants.
These compounds are proven to nourish the scalp and increasing the thickness of hair fibres.
- Platlet-rich plasma (PRP) – This treatment has been scientifically proven to effectively treat hair loss in combination with other therapy. PRP is extracted from own blood and injected into the affected area. PRP is rich with growth factors which helps to promote healthy hair density.
- Low Level Laser Therapy (LLT) – LLLT uses light/laser therapy which applied on scalp. Several clinical studies proved that this therapy is effective in stimulating hair follicle growth. Primarily, LLLT increases blood flow to the scalp and protein synthesis in the follicles resulting in thicker hair growth.
- Oral medications – Essential vitamins and minerals are compounded together in a capsule to provide the hair follicles sufficient nutrient to produce thicker and healthy hair growth. Mostly improper diet intake daily may lack in vital minerals and vitamins like B6, B12, Folic Acid, Biotin , iron and etc which can cause further hair loss and thinning if left untreated for longer period.
- Hair Foam – Specially formulated hair foam to apply on scalp on daily basis. This will promote microcirculation of blood flow around hair follicles thus leading to increase in size of hair follicles and continuous growth cycle of hair.
How Long Does it Take to See Results?
There are various factors influencing the regrowth process for example stage of hair loss, hair growth cycle, age, health condition and type of treatment being used. Therefore, the results vary from one person to another.
Assuming you are following, as directed, the most effective regimen for your condition, to both stop further hair loss and encourage the hair to grow again, there are a range of results you would usually expect to see during the first 12 months of treatment:
- Hair loss stabilisation
- Less hair falling out
- Improvement in scalp condition
- Thickening of the hair
- Regrowth in the affected areas
Some people will see noticeable results in the first 3-6 months, while others may take longer to see real progress. This often depends on which phase of the hair growth cycle a patient is in when they first start treatment.
