Vampire Facial (PRP) vs Microneedling: What Is the Real Difference?
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels that stimulate wound healing and collagen remodelling. PRP is a concentration of platelets prepared from the patient’s own blood and used as an adjunct in selected procedures. A “vampire facial” commonly combines microneedling with topical or injected PRP, but the term is not medically precise. Microneedling can be performed without PRP, while PRP can also be injected without microneedling.
