It is commonly used to lift the cheeks, define a softening jawline, smooth early jowls, lift the brows and tidy the neckline. It works best when there is some skin laxity but good overall skin quality, giving a refreshed, slightly lifted look rather than a dramatic change. It is not the right option for very heavy or severely loose skin, where a surgical facelift would give a better result. What to expect
The Procedure, Recovery and Results
During the procedure the area is numbed with local anaesthetic, then fine dissolvable threads are placed under the skin and gently used to reposition and support the tissue.
